The most unusual of our orchids, Paphs are often called “Lady Slippers.” Paphs are our largest flower, with some blooms larger than a hand! They typically feature one large bloom rather than a cluster. These flowers range from a light green to almost black, and many are mottled and a little fuzzy!

Paphiopedilums are water-loving orchids that like low to moderate light conditions. Too much light can cause sunburn. They should be watered every 7–10 days and kept evenly moist, but not soggy. Don’t allow them to dry out.  Paphs like moderate room temperatures and should be kept indoors.
