Recently, a panicked customer reached out to us asking if #orchids were toxic to #dogs if they are consumed! The quick and incomplete answer is... No, they are not toxic. However, there are more than 25,000 orchid in the #orchidaceae family known worldwide, and 100,000 hybrids... so it is possible that a single orchid or hybrid may contain something that could be harmful to a pet. If you pet consumes any unknown plant materials it is best to contact your vet, try to identify the plant consumed, and monitor your pet for any symptoms or unusual behavior! . . . . . #dcitystyle #dogsofinstagram #green #flora #plantcare #petcare #themoreyouknow???? #orchidsofinstagram #phalaenopsis #dontpanic #shoplocal #greenthumb #plantswithpersonality
